Casa Marlin

Project Description:
A residence design for a young couple that enjoys open interior spaces, but with privacy from
the exterior.
Before accessing the interior, we created an outer zone that acts as anteroom, conformed by a
garden and a water mirror, that continues to the interior of the stairs, where you are greeted
by the living room.
Visually, the garage is managed as part of the exterior, since currently there are regulations in
the residential zone that prohibit closed fences.
The garden anteroom is a welcoming zone. The wall that divides the garage at the same
provides protection by closing the view to the interior of the house. The living room at the
entrance of the house has a double height with panes from floor to ceiling; it opens to the
anteroomgarden, which gives integration with an existing tree that we wanted to keep. We
added a water mirror, as well as most of the landscaping plants, to create a space that is a
transition between exterior and interior.
This house is inspired by earth related materials and stone ashlar is the one that predominates,
which combined with the greens of the vegetation, and the white of the walls gives the
architecture a heartwarming atmosphere.
