Casa P6

Project Description:
Project conceived as the first designed and built home for the head of Spacio Integral: Marco
Rodriguez, in which we were looking for architecture in which every part of the façade was a
geometric element, that contrasted in volume and material; like stone ashlar, marble, concrete,
and steel creating unity in its whole.
We were also looking to optimize the use of space to the maximum, leaving no unused areas, to
avoid exceeding the proposed budget, that was defined by the squared meters. With open
spaces in the interior, double heights with a slanted ceiling in common areas and windows at
the high points to give indirect sunlight and the Venturi effect for the air flow to optimize the
use of a/c. We also incorporated big vertical windows oriented correctly to accomplish natural
light and protect spaces from overexposure to the sunlight, utilizing contrasts in the use of
natural materials, like concrete, marble, and stone ashlars.
The house is closed to the exterior and open to the inner garden and pool, accomplishing a
sensation of openness between inner and outer spaces.

The Aquatic Garden area at the entrance, is a small space of great importance, because it
connects the exterior of the house with the interior, creating a special ambiance, where one
can hear the falling water, and observe the koi fishes.
