VILLA 49

Project brief

Project Description:
A beach residence located in the private subcondo by the name of Four Seasons Hillside Villas, with beautiful ocean views This residence was built for Dine, the developer of Punta Mita, in a lump sum price contract, which was acquired by a project contest. We created de project from beginning to end, from the foundation to the finishing touches.

The terrain includes a steep slope, because of this the correct development of the foundation was important to execute this construction.
The solution for the foundation issue was accomplished in different ways. We defined the correct level on site for the foundation, by weight capacity, making the necessary changes to optimize costs and stay within budget.
The house is located in a high elevation between 2m to 4m above the natural terrain level. All the flooring in the first level is a high slab structured with light premade beams and polystyrene, to avoid refills and humidity coming from the terrain. Since it is an elevated structure to the existing terrain this way we avoid humidity from runoff from the mountain.

The house is of the Pacific Mexican architecture style, where the use of exterior terraces helps make the most of the ocean views, and enjoy the outdoors. The slanted roofs are completed with wooden beams, and the usage of chocolate colored roof tiles, and yellow washed walls, alike to the Four Seasons Punta Mita style.
